Kokyo was ordained as a Zen priest in 1994 by Tenshin Anderson Roshi and received Dharma Transmission from him in 2010. Kokyo was a teacher at Santa Cruz Zen Center for a decade. Kokyo has also been practicing with a Tibetan Dzogchen Teacher Tsoknyi Rinpoche Rinpoche since and now lives at his center in Colorado.
